ऐसे में दिमागी घोड़े दौड़ने पर मजबूर हो जाते हैं कि आखिर ऐसा क्या है जो अब तक जेली बीन आपरेटिंग सिस्टम के प्रति मोबाइल निर्माता कोई खास तवज्जु नहीं दिखा रहे हैं। तीन महीने का वक्त कम नहीं होता। गैलेक्सी नोट 2 को छोड़ दें तो इन तीन महीनों में कई फोंस लांच किये जा चुके हैं लेकिन सभी डिवायस एंडरायड ओएस 4.0 आइसक्रीम सैंडविच या 2.3 जिंजर ब्रेड पर ही देखने को मिले हैं।
इस बारे में मोबाइल जगत के एक महानुभव कहते हैं एंडरायड आपरेटिंग सिस्टम 4.1 जेली बिन के साथ अभी कुछ समस्याएं हैं। इस वजह से फोन में बड़े पैमाने पर इसका उपयोग नहीं किया जा रहा है। हालांकि यह बात किस आधार पर कही गई यह बताने में वे जरा कतरा रहे थे लेकिन फिलहाल जेली बीन ओएस के प्रति मोबाइल निर्माताओं की अरुचि इस बात को सत्य की साबित करती है।
ऐसे में गूगल जी से हमारा नम्र निवेदन यह है कि सर जी, जींजर ब्रेड के नास्ते से उपभोक्ता उब चुके हैं और तीनो पहर आइसक्रीम सैंडविच ही खा रहे हैं। थोड़ा स्वाद में अब बदलाव किजिए। अगर जेली बीन के साथ समस्याएं हैं तो जल्द दूर किजिए। क्योंकि अब तक दूर से उसे देखकर ही संतोष करना पड़ रहा है। जरा उपभोक्ता को जेली बीन का भी स्वाद चखने दें। नहीं तो इस देरी के चक्कर में यदि माइक्रोसोफ्ट की आठवीं खड़की (विंडोज फोन 8) खुल जाएगी तो उपभोक्ता उसमे प्रवेश कर जायेंगे फिर लोगों जेली बीन को भूल जाएंगे।
There is no problem with Jelly Bean OS as such. The problem is with the manufacturers, who are not willing to upgrade the majority of existing handsets running Gingerbread to even ICS, leave alone JB, as it would hurt their handset sales. Only the western world, primarily, the US, are the early adopters of any new technology, while the consumers in markets like India prefer their handsets to last long. As per the latest Android stats, more than 50 per cent of total Android running phones are still on Gingerbread with only 23 per cent running ICS.
ReplyDeleteThe hardware specifications stipulated by Google for JB are also equally to blame. And since India still primarily is a low cost handset market, I guess we will have to wait till the technology gets a bit cheaper for us in India.

ReplyDeleteइस लेख में हमारी ओर से जेली बीन पर किसी भी प्रकार की कोई प्रतिक्रिया नहीं दी गई है। यह मोबाइल जगत के ही एक जानकार का कहना है। जहां तक बात आती है समस्या कि तो आपने भी स्वीकर किया है कि उच्च हार्डवेयर स्पेसिफिकेशन की वजह से निर्माताओं द्वारा जेली बीन फोन के निर्माण पर जोर नहीं दिया जा रहा है। चाहे वजह जो भी रही हो लेकिन आम उपभोक्ता तो नए आपरेटिंग के उपयोग से तो महरूम है ही।
रही बात भारत में नए तकनीक को स्वीकर करने की तो यहां पर आप थोड़े गलत हैं। पश्चिमी और यूरोपीय देशों की तरह भारत में भी नई तकनीक के कद्रदान हैं। इस बात को इस उदाहरण से भी समझा जा सकता है कि आईफोन 5 को अब तक भारत में लांच नहीं किया गया लेकिन लोग नई तकनीक के लिए इतने ललायीत हैं कि उच्च मूल्य देकर ग्रे मार्केट या आन लाइन स्टोर से इसे खरीदने को तैयार हैं।

If they'll keep updating older handsets to newer software, the sales of newer handsets will suffer to some extent, hence the delay in upgrading the existing models. Also, Google only releases the source code of the newer OS upon its launch to the manufacturers, who take their own sweet time, merging it with their signature UI, test it and then release it. (You can take ICS updates provided by different manufacturers for their handsets as case studies)
2. In your second paragraph, you have pointed towards the early adopters of technology. It goes without saying that every country has its share of classes (Those who have an interest in buying the handset and means to do it) and also, the masses (Those who are interested in buying the handset but lack means). Until and unless India becomes a mass market for Handset manufacturers like Apple, we will continue to witness a lag in handset's international and Indian launch.
दुःख की बात यह है कि उत्पादकों की पैसे बनाने की होड़ ने एंड्रोएड के एक तरह से टुकड़े टुकड़े कर दिए हैं। इसमें सबसे ज्यादा हानि हो रही है उपभोक्ताओं की और सॉफ्टवेयर बनाने वालों की। रही बात जेली बीन की, तो साफ़ ज़ाहिर कई कि उत्पादक पहले आइस क्रीम सैंडविच खिला खिला कर हमें पका देंगे और फिर बारी आएगी जेली बीन की। और दुःख कि बात यह है कि जब तक वोह दिन आएगा, एंड्रोएड का कोई नया संस्करण निकल चुका होगा। और जेली बीन में कुछ सिरदर्द ज़रूर हैं - सैमसंग के कुछ फ़ोनों पर यह ठीक से काम नहीं कर रहा है, और अचरज की बात यह है कि इनमे से एक है गूगल का अपना गैलेक्सी नेक्सस!
